Chris Brown - President

Chris Brown is an outgoing professional specializing in city government administration. For the past 9 years, he has worked closely with regional youth organizations emphasis in new-age technology. He also provides services to local government agencies and programming entities for the greater Chattanooga area. In 2014, Mr. Brown was appointed as Executive Assistant to the Administrator for the City of Chattanooga Department of Youth and Family Development. He oversees the day to day operations of the administrative office that provides strategic planning in youth and family sustainability. The Department of Youth and Family Development's top priority is providing a better quality of life for the citizens of Chattanooga, through education, recreation, social services, leadership, and workforce development. During his tenure, Mr. Brown has developed an array of progressive approaches to enhance departmental personnel in the area of innovative technology. In 2017, Mr. Brown was promoted to Management and Budget Analyst with the City of Chattanooga Department of Finance and Administration. His role is the preparation of the city-wide budget, the monitoring and oversight of department budgets and expenditures as well as compliance with rules and regulations.

Ryan Thomas - Immediate Past President

Ryan became a board member for the AGA Chattanooga chapter in July of 2017. He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with his Masters of Accountancy in 2016. He also has a Bachler`s of Science in Sociology from Tennessee Technology University, which he received in 2010. Ryan worked in the mental health field as a case manager and as a counselor for several years before joining a small local accounting firm.  After which he joined The Hamilton County Accounting Department.  Being a new board member he looks forward to growing the chapter and helping the chapter provide the best networking and education opportunities possible for its members. Ryan and his wife enjoy spending time with their three dogs and three cats.  He is an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.  He also loves films: Star Wars is his favorite series. He might also have a caffeine addiction because two cups of coffee are just not enough. Ryan wishes the best for everyone because it is such an accrual world.

Holly Wormsley - Secretary 

Holly Wormsley was the President for AGA during the 2017/2018 campaign.  She has been a member of AGA and a board member since 2012.  She has served on the board as the scholarship chair and historian.  As scholarship chair, she has coordinated sending the scholarship application to various universities and collecting all application information.  As historian, she is charged with documenting all the activities of the chapter for the year.  Holly graduated from UTC with a Bachelor of Science-dual major in accounting and finance in May 2005.  Upon graduation, she worked for a public accounting firm from 2005-2012.  In 2012, she began her employment with Hamilton County as a senior accountant, where she continues to work today.  While not working, she enjoys spending time with her son Caleb, her family, and friends.

Kendra Yates - Board Member

Kendra Yates was hired with the City of Chattanooga February 2017 as a Management & Budget Analyst. Prior to joining the city she was a Branch Manager for Enterprise, and did Financial Reconciliation for JPMorgan Chase. Her areas of responsibility for the City include Transportation, Economic and Community Development, Finance,  Capital Planning, Capital Project Budget, and forecasting of City-wide Expenditures. Kendra holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas currently obtaining her masters in Business Administration. Kendra is originally from Dallas Texas, has a loving husband (Reginald), and 3 beautiful children (Kyra, Kaylee, and Reginald II).
