Leadership Meeting Minutes
March 9, 2018
Attendees: Jacquelyn Hall-Carrillo, Sharon Buggele, John Kanya, Ronald Gedeon, Haley Proszek, James Gant, Michael Hoffman
2018/2019 Officers – We received some interest from new members on serving on the board. Based on the Feb 5, 2018, inquiry several new people (STEVE MORGUNOV, BALDWINDER BEASLEY, and ANNETE SCHMUNK). Multiple people have not requested the same position therefore we do not need elections. Michael Hoffman wants to be Treasurer and Tony Harris would like to step down as Accountability. This is the proposed slate for next year:
President – Jana Sjoquist
President-elect – Jason Stitt
Secretary – Steve Morgunov
Treasurer – Michael Hoffman
Back-Up treasurer – Jene Phillipy
CGFM – Ron Gedeon
Accountability – Tiffany Schwarwalder (needs to join)
Education – Baldwinder Beasley
Membership – John Kanya
Programs – Terrance Flowers
Community Service – Sharon Buggele
Webmaster – Annette Schmunk
May 3-5 Leadership conference. Jana is going to attend but Jackie has a conflict. We are checking to see if Jason can attend. If not, then Sharon, Ron, or Michael may be able to backfill.
May 3 – Public Service Recognition: John Kanya, Sharon Buggele and perhaps Michael can cover. More details to come, but it should be about 2 hours in the morning in the federal building. We discussed serving punch and cookies.
Hotel at the PDT – we discussed giving the DFAS hotel allowance to Lou and let Vicki or Jana have the NASA hotel allowance
Plans are coming along well. Plan to put an RSVP to officers to see if they want to dine out the night before with James Arnettte and the out of town speakers. Discussed having the dinner at Mallorca downtown Cleveland. Additionally discussed a happy hour after the conference. Proposed going somewhere near the City Club. There is an Indians game that evening at 6:10 pm so we will need to make sure that we can remain in our parking garage.
