The Northern Nevada Chapter of the AGA feels strongly about leaving a lasting positive impact on our community. Below, you will see a list of several events and organizations that we are involved in.
FISH Food Distribution-
People interested in opportunities to volunteer can call the office at 775-882-3474 and make an appointment with Liz Patterson.
Shakespeare Animal Fund Spooktacular Tree- Over 100 tickets were sold by Northern Nevada AGA members and friends to help benefit the Animal fund totaling over $600. A $100 matching amount was given by the Northern Nevada AGA as an additional donation. The Shakespeare Animal Fund raised almost $4,000 to help people who can’t afford emergency veterinarian care for their animals. The 1st prize was $3,000 worth of gifts and gift cards won by Vicki, 2nd prize was a $500 gift certificate to Christiansen Automotive won by Misti, and 3rd prize was a $300 package to Metamorphosis Salon & Day Spa won by Tracy. AWAKEN Reno- They fight Sexual Slavery and Trafficking and are happy to have volunteers and donations. The Northern Nevada Chapter of the AGA was able to donate $500 and 3-$25 Amazon gift cards after the AGA Training that was held in January. Thank you to all the generous donors.

Operation Christmas Child (OCC)- The Northern Nevada AGA sent 6 shoeboxes to children who wouldn’t ordinarily receive gifts; 3 boys and 3 girls of different age groups, 2-4 years, 5-9 years, and 10-14 years old. The boxes were shipped to Mali.
Volunteers of America Birthday Party for Shelter Children- Our night to do the Birthday Party will be Wednesday, May 16, 2018, 5:00 pm set up, 5:30-6:30 Party. We will need to pick up cupcakes at the Eldorado. We will be given list of children and responsible for party supplies, gift bags, goodies and gifts. We will also be given more information closer to the date. The organizer suggested we could do a Cinco de Mayo theme.
