Our chapter meets the first Tuesday of every month at the State’s Controllers building. We are open to non-members and encourage attendance by anyone who would like to learn more about our members and what we do.
We provide learning opportunities in two ways: trainings and events. Events allow participates to not only listen to experts in different fields, but also ask questions and network. Trainings are usually offered though our national website in the form of webinars. Below, you will find a summary of these.
The Northern Nevada Chapter hosts a PDT (Professional Development Training) each year.
These trainings can impart essential knowledge and understating that increase job effectiveness. They call on speakers from federal, state, local, academia and the private sector share key findings and educational experiences to augment your knowledge and enhance your skills. They also provide an opportunity to network. Allowing you to engage with industry experts and government financial management colleagues facing the same or similar issues, and exchange ideas to bring back to your organization.
Webinars
Our AGA parent association also hosts a number of webinars. Private webinars are free to members and accessible thought the year.
There are also several paid webinars where members that allow participants to explore emerging issues and stay informed. AGA Members are given deep discounts should they wish to participate in these.
