AGA is the association that connects and empowers financial related professionals who support government, from financial management to IT, human resources, cybersecurity and more, to advance good government initiatives, grow their expertise and accelerate their careers.

We connect and empower professionals to help them:

  • Advance sound financial practices, accountability, transparency and excellence in government
  • Grow, learn, excel and engage through a network of likeminded professionals and leaders
  • Accelerate professional careers through learning opportunities and the opportunity to earn a unique credential - the Certified Government Financial Manager, the only credential developed solely with the government financial professional in mind.

AGA Silicon Valley is a chapter of AGA, which provides low-cost trainings and continuing professional education (CPE) opportunities as service to its local members and to the government accountability profession in the Silicon Valley. The professional development meeting/training provides opportunities for professional development, facilitates the exchange of ideas, promotes quality financial management, and brings people together who are in the field of government finance and other accountability professions.

Generally, Silicon Valley Chapter offers 6 to 7 training events in a year with each event covers 1 to 4 CPE credit hours. Meeting participants come from federal, city, county and local government agencies with different specialties, such as accounting, auditing, financial and budget analysis, contract management, and financial management

Due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) related restrictions, in-person (attendance) trainings are temporarily suspended. However, we offer virtual training through online/webinar.
