The Tallahassee AGA Chapter provides several opportunites to earn CPE and participate in our Community Service events. Below is a summary of what we offer to our members and community; however, click on the "Event Calendar" for more information.
Chapter Luncheon Meetings (1 CPE hour)
Monthly luncheon meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month, excluding December and February, and are currently being held in a hybrid setting with in-person and virtual attendees. The program starts at 12:00 PM. The speaker’s presentation usually covers an accounting, auditing, or IT related topics.
Chapter Hosted Webinars (2 CPE hours)
Webinars will be offerred during 2022-2023 as in the past. These webinars are sponsored by the AGA National Office and are held on Wednesdays from 2:00 - 3:50. The cost is FREE for AGA members and $15 for non-members. Depending on the offerring, registrants will either receive their own access link prior to the webinar or may attend in person.
Community Service
Our Chapter is involved in several community service events throughout the Chapter year, and we encourage participation in these rewarding and gratifying activities. Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) Training (Up to 24 CPE hours)
Review courses will be offered once a year, typically in October, in order to prepare candidates for the CGFM examinations. In addition, the CGFM training is an excellent opportunity to earn continuing professional education. Please Note: A maximum of 35 participants will be registered for these trainings; register early to ensure your seat!
Government Training Event (Up to 15 CPE hours)
We host a 2-day government training event, providing CPE covering a variety of topics including accounting, auditing, and IT.
