Community Service

Each quarter, AGA West Michigan designates a charitable cause to focus on. The Chapter sets aside $1 from each event registration as a cash gift to the charity and makes an additional cash donation of $100 per quarter.  

For 2018-2019, our charitable partners are:

July 1, 2018 to September 30, 2018 – The Noah Project
Mission: Every dog and cat accepted at Noah Project will be treated with compassion and dignity. We
will make every effort to find adoptive homes. If homes cannot be found, our pets will live safe, happy
lives at our shelter where loving volunteers and staff will care for them for as long as they live.
Area of Service: Muskegon County and beyond

October 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018 – The Salvation Army West Michigan Northern Indiana Division
Mission: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the Universal
Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its
mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without

January 1, 2019 to March 31, 2019 – Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital
Mission: Helen DeVos Children's Hospital is committed to providing high-quality, safe health care that's
all kids, all the time. Our child and family-focused medical care includes inpatient care in Grand Rapids
and outpatient care in clinics throughout Michigan.
Area of Service: Kent County and all of West Michigan.

April 1, 2019 to June 30, 2019 – The Hope Project
Mission: To support the healing of girls and women who have survived sex trafficking and prevent
further cases through mentoring and education.
Area of Service: Centered in Muskegon, Michigan and serving all West Michigan.
