Community Service

Each quarter, AGA West Michigan designates a charitable cause to focus on. The Chapter sets aside $1 from each event registration as a cash gift to the charity and makes an additional cash donation of $100 per quarter.  

For 2019-2020, our charitable partners are:

July 1, 2019 to September 30, 2019 – Harbor Humane Society

Mission: To provide a safe harbor for animals entrusted to our care as we strive to secure their future
through our outreach and educational programs.
Area of Service: Ottawa County, Michigan

October 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019 – Mel Trotter Ministries

Mission: To demonstrate the compassion of Jesus Christ toward the hungry, homeless and hurting of the
greater Grand Rapids area.
Area of Service: Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan

January 1, 2020 to March 31, 2020 – Every Woman’s Place

Mission: To improve and enhance the lives of women, youth, children and families in crisis in our
community by providing and advocating for services which lead to their safety, their emotional and
economic self-sufficiency, their productivity, and their ability to participate fully in our society.
Area of Service: Muskegon County, Michigan

April 1, 2020 to June 30, 2020 – Family Promise of the Lakeshore

Mission: Family Promise of the Lakeshore brings diverse communities together to address family
homelessness by providing shelter and hospitality in church facilities and casework support services,
life skills classes, and other support at the Day Center.
Area of Service: West Michigan Lakeshore
