Community Service

Each quarter, AGA West Michigan designates a charitable cause to focus on. The Chapter sets aside $1 from each event registration as a cash gift to the charity and makes an additional cash donation of $100 per quarter.  

For 2021-2022, our charitable partners are:

July 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021 Paws with a Cause

Mission: Paws With a Cause enhances the independence and quality of life for people with disabilities nationally through custom-trained Assistance Dogs.  PAWS increases awareness of the rights and roles of Assistance Dog Teams through education and advocacy.

Area of Service: Nationwide, including West Michigan

October 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 – The Salvation Army West Michigan Northern Indiana Division

Mission: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the Universal Christian Church.  Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Area of Service: West Michigan and Northern Indiana

January 1, 2022 to March 31, 2022 – Feeding America West Michigan

Mission: Feeding America West Michigan exists to ensure food is available to the hungry in our community.

Area of Service: All of West Michigan, as needed.

April 1, 2022 to June 30, 2022 – Family Promise of the Lakeshore

Mission: Family Promise of the Lakeshore brings diverse communities together to address family homelessness by providing shelter and hospitality in church facilities and casework support services, life skills classes, and other support at the Day Center.
Area of Service: West Michigan Lakeshore
