2018 award of scholarships.

This academic year, the Association of Government Accountants, Chicago Chapter, announced two scholarship awards, the Excellence in Accounting or Finance and the Matthew Matczynski Leadership/ Community Involvement Awards. Both scholarship awards are open to current college students (undergraduate or graduate students) in the field of Accounting and Finance studies for $1,000 each. Please share with any student you may know who may be interested in applying for these scholarship opportunities.

? The Excellence in Accounting or Finance Award will be awarded to a student with at least an overall GPA of 3.0/ 4.0 scale and has completed an essay question and provided two non-family references.

? The Matthew Matczynski Award in Leadership/ Community Involvement will be awarded to a student with at least an overall GPA of 2.5/ 4.0 scale and has demonstrated strong leadership qualities and community service involvement through an essay question.

The awards are restricted to students from Illinois or Greater Chicagoland Area higher education institutions.

AGA-Chicago Chapter Presents Two Scholarship Awards 2016-2017

The AGA Chicago Chapter is proud to announce that it is has awarded one scholarship for Fall 2016 semester. Deyna Parvanova, a student at the College of DuPage, was awarded AGA’s Excellence in Accounting or Finance Award. The scholarship recognizes outstanding college students in the field of accounting or finance who have achieved positive academic records and been rated highly by professional references. The scholarship recipient received $500 towards her tuition and a free AGA student membership.

The Excellence in Accounting or Finance Award and the Leadership/ Community Involvement Award are two scholarships offered by the AGA Chicago Chapter to current college students (undergraduate or graduate students) in the field of Accounting and Finance studies. The awards are restricted to students from Illinois or Greater Chicagoland Area institutions of higher education. The AGA Chicago Chapter will be announcing another scholarship opportunity in 2017. The Leadership/ Community Involvement Award will be awarded to a student with at least an overall GPA of 2.5/4.0 scale and has demonstrated strong leadership qualities and community service involvement through an essay question. The awards are restricted to students from Illinois or Greater Chicagoland Area institutions of higher education. Electronic and mailed submissions are due December 9th, 2016 (11:59 pm CST), and announcement of the awardees will be March of 2017.
