Guidelines for Obtaining CPE Credits

In-person Event

In accordance with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy and National Association of State Boards of Accountancy guidelines for live, in-person events, individual attendance at group programs will be recorded through the use of physical sign-in sheets or the use of an attendance monitoring application depending on the size of the event. Participant credit is given based on actual attendance time. Late arrivals and/or early departures will be captured manually and notated on the physical sign in sheet or will be captured by the attendance monitoring application.

Internet-Based/Webinar Event

In accordance with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy and National Association of State Boards of Accountancy guidelines for group internet-based programs, the AGA Dallas Chapter will monitor participant’s attendance during webinars.

  • Alertness checks will be conducted via polling questions. Some polling questions may be announced, while others may appear at unannounced times. To validate your participation during the webinar, please participate in each of the polls. Participants dialing in using a phone line only will not be able to access the polls, and thus will not be able to receive CPE credit. Please note, you may need to enable pop-ups for the poll feature to work.
  • Participants who successfully complete this process will receive an email within five (5) business days with their CPE certificate. CPE certificates will not be available until full payment is received.
  • Announcing the letters to fellow attendees in the chat box is against the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy's policy. Doing so may make the participant ineligible to earn the CPE credits for the webinar.
