- Protecting Yourself from Cybercrime - Ben Robertson - The average computer user does not know the risk they assume when using devices that connect to the internet. These dangers include exposed Wi-Fi networks, public Wi-Fi networks, and weak or universal passwords. Many of these dangers are unknown to the majority of the populace and people generally assume they are safe when using Wi-Fi at home or in places like Starbucks. However, this is not the case. - SBA Payroll Protection Program Updates - Laura Wardwell, CPA, Valliance Bank - Since the COVID-19 pandemic escalated on US soil in March, there have been numerous relief efforts mounted by the US government to mitigate the economic impact of the large-scale health crisis. The CARES Act signed on March 27th included many different assistance programs, including the Small Business Administration’s Payroll Protection Program. Facts and circumstances related to the program are still evolving, but this session will provide information related to the initiation and implementation of the program, as well as the effectiveness. The session will also cover the effect of the program on the banking system, which distributed the funds for the SBA, and the impact of the program on Oklahoma banks. | Bio & Presentation
