The Ozarks Chapter has been honored with two prestigious awards: Teresa Allen receives the Volunteer of the Year for her exceptional dedication, while Carmen Todea and Candace Grossman earn the Chapter Communications Award for their innovative outreach efforts. These accolades highlight the chapter's commitment to service and communication excellence within the AGA organization.

We're thrilled to announce that Luke Jordan and Tucker Deschaine, college students with a passion for accounting and public service, have been selected for prestigious scholarships by the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) Ozark Chapter. Their dedication to academic excellence and commitment to governmental accounting have earned them this well-deserved recognition.

We're ecstatic to share that, thanks to your incredible generosity, we've been able to contibute $400 Humane Society of Southwest Missouri. This donation is set to be doubled by Nationals, resulting in a total of $800. A heartfelt thank you to all who contributed, making a significant and positive impact on the lives of these animals!

AGA Ozark's 2024 Spring Training at the efactory in Springfield saw government professionals engage in 8 hours of CPE, covering crucial topics like ethics, leadership, and AI. Notable speakers included Karen Shannon, Jeff Pabst, and Gwendolyn Sykes. Attendees, including Drury University students, embraced networking opportunities, with Leslie Forest and Allen Criger making strides in CGFM certification. The event's success highlights dedication to ongoing learning and excellence in public administration.

Missouri State University's Graduate Team excels in the 2023 Government Finance Case Challenge, producing a stellar Citizens-Centric Report (CCR) for Denver, Colorado. Guided by advisor Kyle Goodin, their outstanding performance underscores the university's commitment to excellence in government finance education.

 The AGA Ozarks Chapter recently hosted a highly successful Fall Seminar, bringing together finance professionals for a deep dive into grant management. The event, held on November 15, 2023, at the Missouri Job Center (Workforce Development) in Springfield, provided attendees with valuable insights and raised funds for a charitable cause.
