The DC AGA chapter also wants to recognize that it's National Women's History month as well. We want to take this opportunity to commemorate the vital role women have played in American history, including the tremendous contributions and leadership in regards to government accountants.

We have a few events scheduled this month - including a few extra CPE opportunities! Please check out our events occurring in March located to the side of this page and on the Events Calendar.

Webinar on RPA-Machine Learning

The AGA DC Chapter will host a webinar on RPA/Machine Learning facilitated by AGA National on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:50 PM. Pre-registration will be sent approximately 2-3 weeks before the event, and is necessary to gain a personal log in. AGA DC Basketball Event

Join Member Services in cheering on the Washington Wizards against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday, March 27, 7 PM at Capital One Arena ! Each ticket includes access to the Devil's Backbone Lounge along with an entrée, a side, and unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks. All tickets will be sent electronically to your cell phone. Honor Flight

Date: April 5, 2025
Location: WWII Memorial

Join us on Saturday, April 5 from 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM to honor U.S. Military Veterans who served in past wars as they arrive in Washington DC. We’ll welcome them at the WWII memorial and accompany them as they tour the Korean and Vietnam War Veterans Memorials. This is a family-friendly event, please feel free to bring your loved ones, including children, to help celebrate with thank you notes, flags, signs, banners, and cowbells. Nominations for the DC Chapter Awards are now open!

The AGA DC Chapter is soliciting nominations for the DC Chapter awards, and all completed nomination forms are due to the Washington DC Chapter Awards Committee by April 15, 2025. Click on the news article for the 2025 DC Chapter award categories. The awards will be presented at the annual AGA Washington DC Chapter Awards Gala on June 7, 2025. CGFM month

March is Certified Government Financial Manager month.

To recognize and commend the significant impact of CGFMs, Mayor Bowser declared March "CGFM Month" with this proclamation. As we start the month of March, we invite you to celebrate with us!

AGA DC Mentorship Survey

Looking to build a relationship based on trust, respect, and mutual learning to achieve your goals, overcome your challenges, and discover new possibilities? The AGA DC Mentorship Committee has just released their mentor and mentee surveys. Read the full article to understand what is in it for yoyu as a mentor and/or mentee and details as to the process in forming the DC AGA mentor/mentee formal relationship.
