The AGA VA Peninsula Chapter is excited to welcome ALL 9 of our newest members!  

Our CGFM Director, Claudia Ohar, is available to support candidates that are a) preparing for the CGFM Exams to ensure they have the materials they need to be successful, and b) is holding final reviews (per request) in small group settings via Zoom.  

If you are interested, candidates can obtain ALL study group sessions, materials, and recordings by emailing Claudia at ohar.claudia@gmail.com.

The AGA VA Peninsula Chapter wishes a huge Congratulations to our newest LIFETIME MEMBER - Dr. Jesse W. Hughes, CGFM-Retired. He has reached the milestone of 40 years of membership! He joins our other 8 chapter lifetime members.   

The AGA VA Peninsula Chapter wishes a huge Congratulations to those 3 members with 35 years of Membership....only 5 more years until they are LIFETIME MEMBERS!

Did you miss the January 19, 2023 AGA Meeting? No worries - here is a recap below: 

Dr. Kanama Bivins, Chief Financial Officer at NASA LARC, took our January meeting participants down her path to Comptrollership. Dr. Bivins has an untraditional route, joining the Air Force right out of high school and eventually earning her PhD,  all while working and raising a family. She took downgraded positions twice in her career - once to lower her commute/have more time with her family, and another time so her family could experience living overseas in Italy. She enjoys her work - particularly working for NASA!
