Erika Coleman has been a Systems Accountant at USDA for 10 years. She started her government career in the Financial Reporting Branch and was quickly promoted to the Customer Service Branch, Financial Statement Tie Points Team. Erika researches and recommends resolutions for specific financial statement variances for various agencies. She has over 15 years’ experience as an auditor in Public Accounting and is a graduate of Xavier University. Erika has been a member of AGA for several years and served on the New Orleans CEC board holding various positions.


Meeting invites and reminders don't just magically appear. Erika Coleman, AGA New Orleans Chapter Secretary, does a fantastic job of keeping the meeting minutes. She also sends out meeting invites & reminders. Erika ensures that Zoom Meetings are started timely and assists with Happy Half-Hour Networking Sessions. Erika also handles communication & data requests and is diligent about managing the chapter's Gmail account.

No one truly knows the hard work a Secretary does especially for the New Orleans AGA chapter! The chapter cannot begin to explain the amount of commitment that Mrs. Erika Coleman has given! She is always willing and able to complete the task asked of her. She will send emails out no matter how many times asked or how many corrections asked of her. Her positive energy and spirit and go-getter attitude when it comes to AGA is unmatched. She is most deserving of the Volunteer of the Year award!
