The Seattle Chapter’s 2020-2021 Volunteer of the Year is Gabrielle Sivage. Gabrielle poured her energy into increasing the number and types of community service events during this program year as the chapter sought ways to support our community even though we could not meet in person. She lined up online fundraising opportunities with four local nonprofit organizations: Sound Generations, which serves older adults and adults with disabilities; Toys for Tots, which collects toys for children at Christmas; Northwest Harvest, which supports food banks throughout Washington State; and Treehouse, which supports youth in foster care. Through her dedication in setting up giving sites and communicating these efforts, the chapter was able to raise money for these worthy causes. Gabrielle organized and co-led a chapter training event on how to problem solve in a toxic workplace; and as the chapter's President-elect has managed the chapter’s Achievements in the Chapter Excellence program this year.
