Leah Kirby
The Southwest Virginia Chapter nominates Leah Kirby as the chapter’s Volunteer of the Year. Leah has been a member of AGA and a contributing board member for the past 5 years, having previously served in the official roles of Secretary, Education Chair, and Community Service Chair which she has served as for the past 3 years. She established the use of GoFundMe pages for fundraising events during the transition to all virtual PDTs for the past several years, which has greatly increased the amount of funds raised for supported charities. Besides serving as liaison between the chapter and their chosen charities throughout the year, Leah always jumps in to help wherever the chapter needs extra assistance, including running the online platform for webinars, sending out CPE certificates, taking down meeting minutes, and coordinating with other chapters to assist with the Commonwealth PDTs. We appreciate her willingness to help and all that she contributes to the success of our chapter!
