Misty Hamed
Misty Hamed serves as the Communications Chair for the Southwest Virginia chapter and has taken on this role with dedication and vigor. Misty’s youthful energy and enthusiasm have reinvigorated our newsletter and generated new interest in chapter membership and activities. She has worked tirelessly to ensure that our Chapter published a newsletter every month that contains valuable and actionable information for our members and non-members as well. She also re-introduced the “member highlight” section of the newsletter which enables members to get to know each other since we no longer have “in-person” meetings. Misty’s efforts have contributed significantly to our chapter achieving a membership growth of 20th percent for the AGA year, the highest among chapters of comparable size.
