Volunteer of the Year — Trenton Chapter

Nikki Farrell

Nikki Farrell

Nikki is such a value to our chapter. She stepped up this year and was nominated and approved as our National Council of Chapters Representative. A month after agreeing to being our NCC Rep, Nikki moved onto a new position at a different office within the NJ Office of Legislative Services and had to navigate learning her new position, all while representing our chapter as NCC Rep. In May of 2021, Nikki gladly volunteered when I told her of my frustrations with being unable to find members to fill various positions on the board. We hold two large educational events each year which require a pair of co-chairs plus a committee to plan. Nikki didn't even hesitate to volunteer to be a co-chair for both of these events. As current president of the Trenton Chapter, I had a plethora of questions throughout the year, she was always my go-to person to email or call whenever I had a question and she always made time for me and always somehow had the perfect answer. Not only does Nikki attend every event that we hold and offer to help out in any way possible, she does this all while having a full-time career and being mom to two little girls under the age of 4. I don't know what I would have done without Nikki this year, I can't think of anyone else more deserving of this award.
