Volunteer of the Year — Mid-Missouri Chapter

Tracy Farris

Tracy Farris

Tracy Farris is Mid-Missouri Chapter’s Treasurer. We are nominating Tracy for the Volunteer of the Year Award. Tracy has demonstrated exceptional commitment to our Chapter and AGA. She performed crucial roles in maintaining the Chapter’s award-winning status over several years. She has held various positions on the Chapter Executive Committee (CEC), including President-Elect, President, Past President, and Secretary, to name a few.

This year Tracy transitioned from the Secretary position to Treasurer, where she has successfully brought Mid-Missouri Chapter’s financial statements into modern compliance to include the appropriate reports and details. These statements include a detailed view of the Chapter’s financial status for both the CEC and our membership. In the past few years, Tracy has taken on the extraordinary task of reviewing and revising the Mid-Missouri Chapter Bylaws and the CEC’s Policy & Procedures. She has organized meetings between CEC Directors to discuss these documents and suggested changes and transferred her knowledge base in the process. This year the Chapter was able to approve and implement these updated and more extensive Policy & Procedures.

Tracy has also volunteered for the task of managing the Mid-Missouri Chapter website along with our social media pages. She has continually updated content, added pages, and taught other CEC Directors how to communicate to our members through these platforms.

Being a CGFM, Tracy is always willing to assist our CGFM study groups in setting up training meetings, answering questions pertaining to AGA, and being a mentor to the President and President-Elect.

Tracy has single-handedly implemented the rebranding of AGA within our Chapter, both internally and externally. She has worked diligently to communicate with membership and ensure all the proper entities are notified of this change.

Tracy’s contributions, dedication, loyalty, reliability, and willingness to volunteer so much of her time to the Mid-Missouri Chapter have continued to develop and enhance our Chapter’s success. She is well-deserving of our Volunteer of the Year Award.
