Shenika Smith
Shenika Smith excelled as the Director of the Communications Committee for the AGA Baltimore Chapter during the 2022-2023 program year. In responding to the board's desire to increase membership engagement, Shenika diligently reviewed past chapter communications and websites for the AGA Baltimore Chapter and other AGA chapters. Shenika successfully boosted our Social media and email blasts with Monthly posts featuring – Membership Monday to spotlight various board members; CGFM Tuesday to spotlight information about CGFM or recognize CGFMs in the chapter; Welcome or Wow Wednesday to welcome new members quarterly or acknowledge great things people in the community are doing in the government industry; Throwback Thursday to share pictures from our past or recent events, and Future Friday to share upcoming events hosted by local, national, other aga chapters, or other professional organizations! We increased our social media following and received more engagement/reactions on our posts. Shenika’s efforts throughout the year were noted by our membership and we are honored to nominate her as our AGA Baltimore Chapter volunteer of the year.
