Volunteer of the Year — Southern Wisconsin Chapter

Abigail Hundt

Abigail Hundt

I am pleased to nominate Abby Hundt for the Southern WI AGA Volunteer of the Year Award. Abby has only been a member for a few years, but quickly agreed to get involved as a chapter board member. She stepped up and took on the long vacant membership chair role. She reaches out to new members to give them a proper welcome to the chapter, highlighting the chapter membership benefits, follows up with those who have not renewed to see if there is more the chapter could do to get them involved, and recommends newsletter content related to member input.

Abby brings a high level of enthusiasm to chapter activities and has energized the board. This program year, she also stepped up to help with arranging speakers for our annual Symposium. Abby represented the chapter at the LEAD!2024 training. She has become an invaluable asset to the chapter board and is always willing to help where needed and serve as a sounding board for ideas. She enjoys learning new things and helps bring new ideas that improve our processes and operations.

Her energy, enthusiasm, and positive attitude have brought a new vitality to the chapter. She is a true asset to the chapter board and her natural leadership skills will help inspire others to serve.
