Volunteer of the Year — Albany Chapter

Katherine Hogan

Katherine Hogan

I would like to nominate Katherine Hogan as our chapter’s Volunteer of the Year. As a president-elect, Katherine did an outstanding job in not only accomplishing her assigned duties, but also assisting others in our Chapter to be successful in their roles. Katherine coordinated our annual Certifications Breakfast that is jointly held with the local chapters of the ISACA, IIA, and ACFE organizations which turned out to be a huge success. She secured a beautiful venue for the event, found great speakers, and presented some parts herself. We had a great turnout of people interested in pursuing certifications, and Katherine maintained contact with those interested in CGFM to start  study groups. In addition, Katherine is in process of organizing the AGA Awards Luncheon in June to recognize our CEC and other committee members for their contributions throughout the year. Katherine is on top of ACE reporting and dutifully reminds everyone of due dates and operations needed to maintain the Chapter’s Platinum status.

Katherine’s dedication to our Chapter and the AGA, outstanding contributions, hard work, accomplishments, and constant willingness to help others have truly made a significant impact on our Chapter.

I highly recommend Katherine for this special recognition as she consistently goes above and beyond any expectations and is a true example and inspiration for all other volunteers in our Chapter.
