Laura Deavers
Laura Deavers is the Des Moines Chapter Early Careers/Young Professional Director. She joined the CEC mid-way through the year and hit the ground running. She contacted local Universities and Colleges to establish working relationships with them and to set up events where the Des Moines Chapter could go and present information about AGA and Government jobs to students and faculty. In just a few short months she scheduled and completed two college visits and continues to work to build relationships with other schools around the metro. Laura has also outlined her plans for next year and her hope to reach even more Universities and Colleges farther out from the metro. The relationships she is building now will hopefully continue to develop and pay off in the future with more recent graduates entering government jobs and joining AGA. The Des Moines Chapter is lucky to have her and hopes that she continues to volunteer and make the Chapter better!
