Fall 2024 Timeline:

• August 12, 2024 – Registration Opens
• September 20, 2024 - Registration Closes at 11 pm ET
• September 23, 2024 - Case Information emailed to student teams by 10:00 am ET
• October 11, 2024 - Deadline for 1st round of submissions at 11 pm ET
• November 1, 2024 - Finalist Teams Notified by 10:00 am ET
• November 18, 2024 - Deadline for final round of submissions at 11 pm. ET
• December 13, 2024 - Winning Teams Notified by 10:00 am ET

Rules:

Student Teams:

• Each student team may have up to three students and one faculty member.
• Each student team member must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the college/university they represent.
• A maximum of three student teams may compete from any one college/university.
• Undergraduate student teams will compete only against other undergraduate student teams. Graduate student teams will compete only against other graduate student teams. 

First Round Submissions: 

• Each student team must create a Citizen-Centric Report (CCR) following the CCR guidelines provided on AGA's website. Each submission will be judged on the extent to which the CCR is consistent with the guidelines; however, each team should exercise its own judgment about the report content. There is no specific formula for a winning presentation.
• In addition to the CCR, each student team must submit a short essay (2-4 pages) that summarizes the criteria the team used to decide what to include (and what not to include) in the performance report and why. The purpose of this document is to help the evaluation committee understand the team's deliberative process. The names of all student team members and their college/university should be included in the document header.
• Student teams may use both primary and secondary resources. Please cite any sources using MLA format. All primary research must be conducted by team members. The CCR must be factual, so student teams must ensure the information presented is correct. All CCRs will be checked for accuracy. Any late entries will result in a penalty of one point from the overall final score for each day that the entry is late.

Final Round Submissions:

• Each student team will be given the opportunity to revise and resubmit their CCR based on first round feedback. Student teams will be evaluated on the extent to which first round comments were considered/implemented in their final CCR. 
• Each student team must submit a brief video presentation (20 minutes or less). All finalist video presentations will be judged to determine the final winners. Finalist video presentations will also provide students with an additional opportunity to demonstrate their case findings and presentation skills. Student teams may use any creative format for the video presentation.
