Course Details: Managerial Leadership

Organizational leadership is the process of influencing others to achieve organizational goals.  This course examines the foundational tenets of leadership, organizational behavior and leadership theories, providing a basic understanding for the development of an individual's leadership style.  This course further includes basic principles of human behavior often used by managers in directing individuals and groups in organizations.

Learning Objectives

  • Define, discuss, and recognize important traits, skills, behavior, techniques, and theories used in leadership
  • Identify appropriate terminology, concepts, principles, techniques, and theories in leadership when analyzing problems requiring leadership
  • Develop solutions to moderate situations involving problems requiring leadership
  • Generate reasonable methods for implementing leadership activities needed to solve organizational problems
