CPE Tracking for Preparer and Reviewer Training

Both paid and free training employ an attendance monitoring system. The Guidelines are provided below. Visit each training’s webpage for additional information, including speaker(s), program description and registration information.

Please note: Paid participants — CPE certificates will not be available to download until full payment is received, if applicable.

Tracking Process

AGA adheres to the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) standards for CPE programs, which require an attendance verification process for all training events. 

1. During the webinar, letters will appear at unannounced times in the top left-hand corner of the PowerPoint slide. Note: This is not a pop-up box. Please write these letters down when you see them. 
2. At the end of the training, close your browser session to enable the survey and enter the letters in the survey field.
3. Participants who successfully complete this process will receive an email within five (5) business days with instructions on how to download their CPE certificate.

NOTE: You must be able to view the PowerPoint slides on a device to see the CPE letters. All those dialing in using phone line only cannot see the slides for CPEs. Thus, will NOT be able to receive CPEs.

Announcing the letters to fellow attendees in the chat box is against NASBA policy and you may be ineligible to earn the CPE credits for the webinar. 

Session Recordings

Recordings for this training will be available post training for all attendees to access. Please note: Recordings do not offer CPE credits. You must participate in the live streaming or in person to receive credits. Please refer to CPE tracking process above for instructions.

CPE Retrieval

CPE certificates will be available to print online within two weeks after the training, at which time all attendees will receive an email stating that the CPE certificate is ready to download.

Please note:  CPE certificates are available only to attendees who have paid the training event balance in full.

CGFM CPE requirements and NASBA 

CPE hours earned during webinars can be used to fulfill CGFM CPE requirements. To learn more about the CGFM certification, contact AGA's Office of Professional Certification.

AGA is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
